Pirch ("we," "us," or "our") operates the pirch.co website and the Pirch chat widget (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.

  • Name, email address, phone number, and company name (when you fill out forms or interact with the chat widget)
  • Messages and conversation content submitted through the chat widget
  • Photos or files uploaded during a chat session
  • Business information provided during onboarding

Information collected automatically:

  • Device type, browser type, and operating system
  • Pages visited and interaction events (widget opens, clicks, etc.)
  • IP address (used to derive approximate location; not stored directly)
  • Session identifiers and visitor identifiers (stored in browser localStorage)

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and maintain the Service, including processing chat conversations and booking appointments
  • To send transactional communications (booking confirmations, chat summaries)
  • To improve the Service through analytics and usage patterns
  • To respond to your inquiries and support requests
  • To comply with legal obligations

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

  • Business customers: When you interact with a chat widget on a business's website, your conversation data is shared with that business. They are the data controller for their customer interactions.
  • Service providers: We use third-party services to operate the platform (hosting, email delivery, payment processing, analytics). These providers process data on our behalf under contractual obligations.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

4. Third-Party Services

Our Service integrates with the following third-party providers:

  • Anthropic — Processes chat messages to generate responses
  • Supabase — Database and authentication
  • Resend — Transactional and marketing emails
  • Google Calendar — Appointment scheduling (when connected by the business)
  • Railway — Application hosting
  • Upstash — Rate limiting and caching
  • Stripe — Payment processing

5. Data Retention

Conversation data is retained for as long as the business account is active. Visitor data (messages, contact info) is retained according to each business's configuration. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us at privacy@pirch.co.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), role-based access controls, and row-level security in our database. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction or deletion of your data
  • Object to or restrict processing
  • Data portability
  • Withdraw consent (where processing is based on consent)

8. Cookies and Local Storage

The Pirch widget uses browser localStorage to maintain visitor identity across sessions (e.g., pirch_visitor_{orgId}). We do not use tracking cookies. Our website uses session storage for analytics session identifiers. See our Data Collection Disclosure for details.

9. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not directed to individuals under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such data, please contact us immediately.
